新北市交通事件裁決處今天表示，交通監理機關考量武漢肺炎（新型冠狀病毒病，COVID-19）疫情嚴峻，
配合中央流行疫情指揮中心指示，呼籲民眾減少外出，在防疫三級警戒期間，自用小型車、大型車及大型重型機
車等車輛定期檢驗期限，可順延到警戒結束後1個月內辦理驗車。
另外，若民眾因居家隔離、檢疫或確診等原因無法在期限內完成驗車，可於上述原因結束後6個月內，憑證明文
件完成驗車；民眾對車輛定檢有疑義，可向各監理機關洽詢。
裁決處處長李忠台表示，新北市今年1月到4月「不依限期參加定期檢驗」的違規案件總計有3萬7千件，有民眾收
到罰單後提出申訴，表示沒有收到車輛定檢通知單、不知道什麼時候要驗車等，認為舉發無效、紅單不成立。
李忠台指出，經查詢法院判決，因車輛定期檢驗日期的法定通知載明在行車執照上，行車執照背面注意事項也有
提醒車主，應在指定檢驗日期前後1個月內申請檢驗，因此監理機關寄送的定檢通知屬於提醒性質，並非法定通知
，也不是定檢的必要條件，車主仍要依行照上指定檢驗日期的期限內完成驗車。
